If you all can give me some advice about getting thrue this and what I should say to my parints, I wood reely appreashiet it!
Tracey
Tracey has this happened before I'm afraid its quite common for bitches, even sisters,to fight. Is there a male dog involved who is showing more attention to 1 dog than the other, if so, this is probably a bad case of jealousy, and certainly no reason to put the dog down..she could be spayed and that would prevent her showing interest in males which will prevent fighting.. you need to find out the real reasons for this aggression and inform the pound they may offer to spay her for you..good luck pal..
Well that's the strange thing. Thare sisters, but not blud sisters, and she has been spade. Most of the time they act like they love eachother, so I don't no what happend this time.
Hmm has the other female been spayed? maybe she is causing the problem, although sometimes, bitches fight just like sisters and continue to do so no matter what.
Yes she has been spade, we don't want anny little muts running around. I can beleve the sister fighting bit, me and my brother fight but we don't biet eachother but were not dogs. so I don't no.
Hi LupinsGirl,
In my opinion, I don't think she should be put down. Is the other dog injured badly? It's just that if she is, that would factor in your parents decision. If I was you; I would talk to your parents and explain to them how you feel, that you think they are over reacting.
Good luck.
I don't no how badly the other dog is hert. I willtry talking to them. thanks for righting!
They are just behaving like typical sisters. Our beardie Dougal, has fought with his brother, though it wasn't usually serious..Your parents cant get rid of a dog every time it displays aggression, but in this case they may have thought it would be safer for you if she's out the way.
We had agression problems with our dogs, but worked it out. Explain to your parents that if need be, the dogs can be separated, and only allowed together when supervised, or, in our situation, I muzzled the one that was causing the problem, and now, there is no longer any trouble. I was able to remove the muzzle after a couple days, and if he gets snotty, I just bring it back out. Good luck.
dog's often fight with each other, its in there nature. it's rediculous to think of putting one down over it.
I wish everytime my brother would get into a fight with to be able to put him to sleep! That would save me sooooo much grief. LOL Star
my question to the parents would be, has the dog shown agression towards her sister in the past? or was this a sudden event? if the former, then action should have been taken before this, but if the latter, well, then I'm stumped really. Maybe one got angry with the other, and the only way they have of showing their displeasure with each other is to use their teeth. I do think putting a dog to sleep in this case, is extreme.
Well I relly appreasheate all of you righting, Yes dobin they have fot befor, but Noel was on meds at the time so I cant relly blame here for that time. Jade was hert prittyy badly, so I have to think even tho it herts this was the best thing for every one invalvd.
Lol Star good one! :) haha
